Brief History

January 1947 Kamacho Sangyo Kabushiki Kaisha established
March 1957 Company name changed to Kamacho Seiko Kabushiki Kaisha (Kamacho Scale Co., Ltd.), and relocated plant to current location
1960 Established Tokyo Office
1961 Tokyo Office promoted to status of Branch Office, established Nagoya Office
1962 Established Osaka Branch Office
1964 Relocated Head Office to current location, established Kyushu Branch Office
1967 Expanded truck scale assembly plant
1968 Expanded hopper scale assembly plant
1969 Expanded hopper scale assembly plant
1970 Expanded packer scale assembly plant
1974 Granted license to conduct construction business
1975 Manufactured facilities for compressing and recycling non-combustible waste into resources
October 1984 Increased capital to 200 million yen
December 1984 Increased capital to 250 million yen
February 1985 Increased capital to 300 million yen
March 1988 Promoted Nagoya Office to status of Nagoya Branch Office
April 1988 Established new plant for instrumentation
October 1989 Expanded instrumentation office
October 1994 Obtained approval for specified scale models (2 tons or less)
August 1995 Completed load cell performance test facilities
October 1995 Obtained approval for specified scale models (over 2 tons)
1997 In line with enactment of Act on Sorted Collection and Recycling of Containers and Packaging, started manufacturing PET bottle compressors (PB Series) and compressors and packers for other plastics (PL Series)
June 1998 Obtained ISO9002 certificate
August 1998 Expanded assembly plant for PET bottle compressors (PB Series)
April 2000 Expanded assembly plant for other plastics compressor and packers (PL Series)
October 2001 Completed and started sales of digital load cell-type truck scales
September 2002 Obtained ISO9001 certificate (2000 version)
March 2004 Certified as designated manufacturer
March 2006 Obtained ISO14001 certificate
May 2008 Registered for JCSS weight calibration services
October 2011 Decreased capital to 80 million yen
